Panorama hiking tour on the Alpe di Siusi

Exploring the Alpe di Siusi from Compaccio to Mt Piz and Giogo, you can enjoy the beautiful panorama

Some elevations on the Alpe di Siusi offer beautiful views on its alpine pastures and mountains. On this round tour we are hiking to Mt Piz and Giogo. Starting at the mountain station of the Alpe di Siusi Cable Car in Compaccio, we follow the trail no. 30 until the fork near the Hotel Steger-Dellai, where we take the asphalted road (no. 3) until we reach a fork, where trail no. 6 (later 6A) leads us up to Mt Piz.

Arrived at the mountain station of the cable car of Ortisei we enjoy the great view of Mt Seceda and the Odle Group in the north, Mt Sassolungo and Mt Sasso Piatto in the east, and Mt Sciliar with its large meadows in the south. After a short coffee break we follow trail no. 9 down to Saltria at 1,680 m a.s.l., the lowest point of our round tour.

From Saltria, we follow trail no. 30 in the direction of Compaccio until we reach a fork, from where trail no. 6 leads us to "Panorama". At Giogo (mountain station of the Panorama lift on 2,009 m) we once again enjoy the beautiful panorama surrounding us before we take trail no. 7, which finally leads us back to our starting point Compaccio.
