A visit to the visitor centre in Siusi completes the direct experience in the Sciliar-Catinaccio Nature Park. Here, the special features of the area and the processes in nature are presented by means of thematic exhibitions and educational resources.
The unique geology and the animal and vegetal world play the main role. For example, the formation of the Sciliar Dolomite from coral reefs can be traced thanks to purposefully made geology models. Special animals and plants are discovered with animated telescopes on large images. Interactive landscape games and captivating picture walls further enrich the experience. And at night, night projections of some nocturnal inhabitants of the nature park can be observed at the visitor centre.
