The Marinzen mountain hut lies at the foot of the Alpe di Siusi and Mt Bullaccia at 1,490 m a.s.l

The Marinzen hut is located right above the village of Castelrotto at the foot of Monte Bullaccia at 2,176 m a.s.l. In winter it turns into a popular ski slope illuminated at night. In summer it is a well-known hiking destination.
In the village centre we take path no. 6 to the Freinademetz wayside shrine where we continue along path no. 4A through the verdant meadows. The paved route merges into an unpaved and very steep forest path. We pass the Tusch farm where we take a well-maintained panoramic path climbing the mountain. The final section leads along a rather stony itinerary to the Marinzen hut. On the meadows of the malga Marinzen we enjoy the sun, while the children are playing at the playground. From here start numerous hiking paths e.g. to Monte Bullaccia via the Schafstall hut, to the mysterious witches' benches and to Compaccio on the Alpe di Siusi. Other paths take you to Malga Gstatsch and Bad Ratzes above Siusi.
For our return we follow the paths no. 11A and 4 which delight us with stunning panoramic views of the meadows near Siusi and of the village of Castelrotto. This easy hike is characterised by a constant gradient which is why a good fitness level comes in handy. For your return to the starting point you can also take the chair lift from Marinzen back to the village centre of Castelrotto.
