This wonderful spring or autumn hike takes us from Sant’Antonio to the Pond of Fiè and to Siusi allo Sciliar

The small village of Sant'Antonio is an ideal starting point for our walk as it provides a huge car park and is easily accessible with public transportation means. We first take path no. 14 and then no. 13A which enters the forest passing the Glieferer pond before arriving at the Pond of Fiè.
After a short break by the lake we follow path no. 2 at the foot of the Sciliar to Salegg and the valley station of the Alpe di Siusi cable car. After a relaxing two-hour hike we reach the centre of Siusi allo Sciliar. The steep path no. 7 climbs to the church of San Valentino, a hamlet of the municipality of Castelrotto. Even if it is only springtime, the sun is already strong in the section without plants.
We arrive at the top where we cross the provincial road. Path no. 7 takes us to the Pestkreuz cross where we continue walking straight ahead along path no. 6. In this place you can enjoy a wonderful view of the bell tower of Castelrotto and the Marinzen chair lift. The centre of Castelrotto is only a 10-minute downhill walk from here. From the village we take the bus back to Sant'Antonio.
