This winter hike with a sledding adventure from the Molignon hut to rif. Tirler hut takes us through the magical winter landscape of the Alpe di Siusi

In Saltria we take the road towards the mountain restaurant Almgasthof Tirler which parallels a ski slope and leads past the Hotel Floralpina. Path n. 9 (later n. 8 and n. 8A) proceeds through the forest to the Molignon hut. An isolated valley far away from the ski slopes leads us through a marvellous winter landscape with a view ranging from the peaks of the Odle group to those of the Sassolungo and Sassopiatto and from Molignon to the Denti di Terrarossa in the Sciliar-Catinaccio nature park.
After about 90 minutes of walking we reach the Molignon hut (Mahlknechthütte). The sun is shining everywhere here and we enjoy a delicious lunch with local dishes. After the break we return to the valley. The sledge run partially coincides with the path we covered before and ends at the Tirler hut after almost 3 km. The Molignon hut provides a sledge rental service.
