Mountaineer skiing

The numerous ski mountaineering itineraries in the Dolomites surrounding the Alpe di Siusi delight sports lovers with impressive views

The ascents alone would be enough for unique emotions in nature...but the descents along the well-prepared ski slopes in an unspoilt natural landscape make your skiing adventures in this area even more unforgettable. The true highlight of the
Alpe di Siusi, however, is the Sasso Piatto. This impressive peak (2,969 m a.s.l.) is characterised by a steady inclination and one of the few summits that can be conquered on skis.

For one possible ski tour you can start in Saltria and take the cable car, otherwise you can ascend along the ski slope on foot. From the Almgasthof Tirler at 1,750 m a.s.l. we head to the Berghaus Zallinger at 2,054 m a.s.l. and then further to the Giogo di Fassa until the rifugio Sasso Piatto (2,256 m a.s.l.). On the eastern side of this mountain hut rises the impressive rock wall of the Sasso Piatto.

Please note: the summit slope is very steep and absolutely requires safe snow conditions. Danger in case of ice! Contact local mountain guides who accompany you in your mountaineer skiing tours. Always check the weather and snow conditions before undertaking any tours.
