Kastelruther Spatzen Museum

All the prizes, award-winning records, trophies and souvenirs of the Kastelruther Spatzen can be admired in the "Spatzenmuseum" in Castelrotto.

This small museum was set up in 2005 by Walter Mauroner, the trumpet player of the group. It is located in the basement of the official band shop in Castelrotto and the rooms were furnished and decorated with shingles, wooden beams and benches, old gutters and other objects from daily life in the mountains of the 18th century. Every room is dedicated to a different topic e.g. "how it all began" and "the "100th gold record".

The museum exhibits awards, gifts from their fans and the certificate of the honorary citizenship of Castelrotto which was assigned to the group in honour of their career. The cherry on top is undoubtedly the last room where you can admire the diamond record, a very important award the group received in 2008 for having sold 15 million records.
