MTB tour around Mount Bullaccia

This 25-km long MTB tour runs along forest paths and meadows and takes us to the 2,170-m high Monte Bullaccia located between the Val Gardena and Castelrotto

The 1,440-m high Passo Pinei is the starting and end point of this circular MTB-tour. We descend along the pass road towards Ortisei in the Val Gardena to the Hotel Albion. We turn left on the unpaved road towards Bulla. A meadow path ascends to a fork where the path merges into a forest route. The tour proceeds along a gravel road which turns into a paved road after 350 metres and takes us to the Bulla cemetery at 1,490 m a.s.l. Above the cemetery, we follow the road no. 3 towards the hamlet of Alpe di Siusi and ascend the gravel road passing the Monte Piz restaurant.

Path no. 3 takes us to Compaccio at 1,840 m a.s.l. in the hamlet of Alpe di Siusi. We continue along this road until the 4th hairpin bend where we turn right onto the gravel path no. 10 towards the Marinzen hut. Thanks to path no. 9, we arrive at the Schafstallhütte hut where we proceed to San Michele at 1,280 m a.s.l. The final stretch leads uphill to Passo Pinei on a paved road.

Note: This MTB tour offers stunning views of the Val Gardena, Castelrotto and the Alpe di Siusi area with the Dolomites. Even if the length and the altitude difference of this tour are easily manageable, you should not underestimate the uphill sections in the bare sun.
