Undertake a comfortable winter hike from Lake Fié to Malga Tuff

Malga Tuff is situated at the foot of the Sciliar in a wonderful position. This hike begins at the car park near the Laghetto di Fié, which is accessible from S. Antonio di Fié, and leads us directly to malga Tuff. Before starting our hike we walk around the completely frozen lake. We take the forest path n. 1 which leads uphill and past lake Huber.
Soon we arrive at a fork where we take path n. 1 to the right, whereas the forest path n. 1B branches off to the left. There are in fact two paths that take you up to malga Tuff: the forest path n. 1B is flatter but 1 km longer than path n. 1. The enchanting mountain hut lies in the heart of a sunny meadow right below the Sciliar. From here you can enjoy an amazing view of the Sarentino Alps and the Ortles group.
The malga is a true paradise for families with children: part of the meadow in front of the malga has been turned into a sledge run for children. In winter the mountain hut is open during the Christmas holidays and on weekends until the end of January.
