In addition to the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology with Oetzi in the regional capital Bolzano, there are many other museums, some of them in Castelrotto and Fié allo Sciliar.
You can see objects from everyday rural life before the war at the farmers' museum, get a glimpse into school life from that era at the school museum, admire valuable garments and magnificent hair ornaments at the museum of traditional costumes, and learn more about the excavated artefacts from Peterbühel at the parish and archaeologic museum.
