Beneath the mighty Sciliar, on the church square of Fié di Sotto, a reflective Advent experience awaits locals and visitors. An impressive Christmas tree set against the backdrop of the Fié allo Sciliar Parish Church, along with charming market stalls, helps pass the time while waiting for the Christ Child, called "Christkindl wortn" in dialect. They serve warming mulled wine and delicious treats, as well as local handicrafts that could make for a very special Christmas gift.
On the Saturdays of Advent and other selected days from December 6 to 30, various musical groups provide entertainment. These include Tobi & Magda, the clarinet quartet from the Siusi music school, the groups "Voci.ssimo" and "Spicy", the Fié men's choir, and "Klangfarben". In addition to the pleasant music, the dark winter days are brightened by atmospheric lighting.
The Christmas season in Fié allo Sciliar (Seis am Schlern) comes to a fitting conclusion with the procession of the Three Kings on January 6. The event features real camels, musical entertainment and a selection of culinary treats. And how to get there? The village can be reached from Bolzano in just over half an hour on bus route 170. Alternatively, Fié has short-stay parking zones near the village centre and several pay-and-display car parks nearby for longer stays.
