Peterbühl

High above the Valle Isarco valley, the locality of Peterbuehel is located on a hill in the west end Fiè.

Benefiting from its sun-drenched position high above the Valle Isarco valley, Peterbuehel is considered to be the most ancient village of the municipality of Fiè allo Sciliar. Attaching credence to recent findings, already millenniums before Christ people have been occupying this area.

In the centre of the village, in a particularly exposed position, there is the San Pietro sul Colle church, which means „on the hill“. First mentioned at the end of the 14th century, it was restored and adorned with Gothic construction elements around 1,500.
