Galloping across the rich green pastures of Alpe di Siusi

“There’s nothing so good for the inside of a man as the outside of a horse”. I guess there is a reason for this saying. Especially here in South Tyrol, where a special kind of horses is waiting for you: the gentle Avelignese horses (see picture).

Obviously you will also find a number of riding stables in Castelrotto and surroundings. So what about taking some riding classes at the Unterlanzinerhof or the Ponyhof Gstatsch riding stables? You will love it :-)

Lovers of horses shouldn’t miss the legendary Oswald von Wolkenstein Ride, taking place every year in June. Seeing it is definitely worth it!!
