• The cattle drive from the Alpe di Siusi lies ahead - usually around the end of October the cattle, sheep, horses and goats turn back to the valley.

• Autumn is the time for chestnuts: the traditional "Toerggelen" is celebrated with the new wine, dumplings, meat and delightful meals.

• Also in Castelrotto and Fiè allo Sciliar there are taverns offering a Toerggele evening - the wine originates from the sunny slopes of the area.

• Autumn may be a good time for hiking tours to the Dolomites, e.g. to the bizarre Horse Teeth mountains (Denti di Terrarossa).

• The Mushroom Path in the Laranza Forest near Castelrotto tells interesting facts about the biodiversity and the life of mushrooms.

• Endless hiking paths take you across the Alpe di Siusi… another reason why the largest high alp of Europe is famous beyond borders.

• The Pond of Fiè, in part a biotope and a protected area, in late autumn - it is located some km away from the eponymous village.

• Also Castel Presule with its impressive collection of arms is an autumnal highlight which stays open until the end of October.

• St. Peter by the Hill: the church located on the Peterbühl hill in Fié allo Sciliar is probably the oldest church of the Alpe di Siusi. Worth seeing!
