Alpe di Siusi Cable Car

One of the most modern facilities of its kind in Europe

The Alpe di Siusi is a region of unique natural beauty. To preserve it also for future generations, the road leading towards the Alpe di Siusi pasture is closed to traffic from 9 am to 5 pm. This means that form 9 am to 5 pm you can reach it only via the Alpe di Siusi cable car - starting in Siusi - or via bus. Those having their apartment or hotel room on the Alpe di Siusi are obviously allowed to drive there by car.

The Alpe di Siusi cable care is among the most modern facilities of its kind all over Europe. The valley station is situated in Siusi, near to the so-called “Matschnsäge”. From here, the cable car - with a length of approx. 4,300 meters - directly takes you to the mountain station (Compaccia). Within only 15 minutes it manages an overall altitude difference of 800 meters.

Directly next to the valley station, there is a large parking lot for cars and buses. Parking is free. There is, furthermore, a shuttle taking you from the valley station to the villages of Castelrotto, Fiè allo Sciliar, Siusi and to Passo di Pinei.
