The "Oachner Höfeweg“ (literally "Farm trail of Aica" in dialectic German language) is undoubtedly one of the hiking highlights in the area of Fié allo Sciliar and particularly recommendable in spring and autumn.

We start our hiking tour in the small village of Presule with its beautiful old castle, where we park our car at the parking space. From there, a trail leads us slightly downwards through meadows and woods, passing the hamlets Novale di Presule and Aica di Sotto. Following the signposts to Aica di Fiè we partly have to walk on the street. The beautiful landscape above the Tires valley is dominated by deciduous woods, chestnut trees, meadows and vineyards.

At the village of Aica di Fiè we decide to visit the St John Church with its frescos before we continue our tour until we reach the small village of Santa Caterina, the end of the Farm Trail of Aica. On our way back we follow the same trail until we reach a cross, where we take the trail that leads us to the beautiful meadows of the Schnaggenkreuz pass (1,015 m a.s.l.). From there, we return to our starting point on trail no. 5, on which we enjoy the wonderful panorama of the hamlets of Fiè di Sopra, Fié di Sotto, Peterbühl and Umes.
