Castelrotto has got lots of lovely spots and one of them is probably the local parish church with its legendary church steeple. With a height of 83 m, the steeple isn’t only the highest one all over the place, but also features the bells with the most beautiful pealing.
And this is the reason why the inhabitants of Castelrotto are oh-so proud about their steeple and its bells. There is even a legend dedicated to them: Whenever possible the inhabitants of Castelrotto rung their beloved bell. Never they failed to admiringly mention their “Big Bell”. As time drew on the citizens of the neighbouring villages got so angry about this that they finally decided to teach their boastful neighbours a lesson…
Oh no, we won’t tell you how the story ends ;-) Maybe you should just visit the church yourself and ask one of the locals to tell you the story’s mysterious end…
