Fiè di Sopra

Fiè di Sopra and its S. Margareth parish church are located at the border to Fiè di Sotto.

Fiè di Sopra is located in the east of the main village, on the road to Umes and the pond of Fiè at 900 m asl, and has a total of 500 inhabitants. The S. Margareth and Laurentius church was constructed around 1,500 on the foundations of an earlier, Romanesque church.

Three little lakes nestle in the forest surrounding the village, which are the famous pond of Fiè, the less known Huber and Gflierer ponds that can best be discovered in a walk. Another pleasant spot of land is the Tuffalm pasture, extending at the foot of the Sciliar.
